As a member of the American Women’s Club of Amsterdam (AWCA), I am also a member of the Federation of American’s Women’s Clubs Overseas (FAWCO). FAWCO was founded in 1931, and is an international network of independent volunteer clubs and associations comprising 62 member clubs in 31 countries worldwide, with a total membership of around 10,000.
What does FAWCO do?
As a United Nations accredited non-governmental organization, with special consultative status to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, FAWCO is particularly active in global issues such as:
- Education/Literacy
- Environment
- Health
- Specific Concerns for US Citizens
- Women’s and Children’s Rights
I entered a writing piece for the spring edition of FAWCO Inspiring Women’s Magazine. There were a few topics to choose from and I chose the topic of Innocence. My article was chosen for the Spring Edition of FAWCO Inspiring Women’s Magazine! I wrote the article one night when I could not sleep, who knew that is when my creativity is at its best.
Here is a preview of the magazine, Inspiring Women 2020.

Thank you! I am glad that you liked it! I am probably going to add a section to my blog with more “freestyle” writing.
